Our story
Wattica grew out of an R&D project started in 2023 to look at problems in the Turkish electricity market that could be solved with data. In the early years we worked on renewable generation forecasting and market data. Conversations with suppliers pointed us to one of their largest cost items: imbalance.
That work became a forecasting platform that models each meter separately using OSOS and EPİAŞ data. Today the platform runs live on customer portfolios and handles the full cycle automatically, from the day-ahead forecast to hourly revisions in the intraday market.

Founder and CEO
More than ten years of experience in energy data and analytics. In the UK he worked on energy analytics and data platforms (NoWatt, Ataccama, Panaseer). In 2023 he started R&D work on the Turkish electricity market, which became Wattica's forecasting infrastructure. Director of Engineering and Architecture
Responsible for Wattica's software architecture and engineering processes. Previously developed machine learning solutions as a senior developer at Treomind, and worked on data management and V2X software engineering at ULAK Haberleşme. Çankaya University, Computer Engineering.
Director of Forecasting and Modelling
Leads the forecasting models, data pipelines and model monitoring. Previously developed anomaly detection and price forecasting models for market surveillance at the Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TÜRİB), and worked on industrial IoT energy monitoring projects. Data and API Engineer
Responsible for the platform's data engineering, data processing and API layer. Builds the data pipelines, data models and integration services, and takes part in customer onboarding. Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Computer Engineering.
Software Developer
Joined the team in 2026. Previously spent about five years at ULAK Haberleşme as a data management specialist engineer, building data pipelines and monitoring and alerting systems. Kırıkkale University, Computer Engineering.
Cloud and DevOps Specialist
Responsible for the infrastructure on AWS and Huawei Cloud, deployment processes and day-to-day system operations. İzmir Institute of Technology, Computer Engineering.
